Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
5+ years of experience in equipment design, especially automation equipment
Expertise in 3D/2D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Experience with automation such as robotics, fixturing, and related manufacturing tools
PLC programming, robotics, Python, and related programming skills (helpful)
Experience with fabrication (e.g., machining, soldering, electro-mechanical assembly, lathe/mill, 3D printing, welding)
Experience in semiconductor manufacturing (e.g., wafer handling, deposition, etching) (bonus)
Experience in GD&T and conducting micron-level tolerance analysis
Strong background in semiconductor equipment design
Solid foundation in mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering

Responsibilities

Hands-on work in the design, development, and optimization of semiconductor-grade equipment for handling, processing, and characterizing diamond wafer products
Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to design and integrate complex semiconductor equipment components and automation systems into production lines
Work closely with manufacturing and process engineers to develop and implement automation solutions that enhance system efficiency, throughput, and reliability
Generate clear, detailed documentation of equipment designs, integration processes, and troubleshooting procedures
Lead the development of automation systems for handling, processing, and characterizing semiconductor-grade diamonds
Design and integrate cutting-edge semiconductor equipment, robotics, motion control systems, and computer vision technologies for highly precise operations
