Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
  • At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree
  • Preferred: 9+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Node.js, Go, or Python
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience with AWS
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in security and performance tuning for internet-scale microservices
  • Preferred: 3+ years of on-call experience for internet-scale microservices

Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
  • Regularly contribute across multiple code bases to deliver performance, regulatory, reliability and revenue improvements for the business
  • Contribute to platforms that enable the success of developers, account managers, business partners and our customers
  • Improve visibility to business-critical transactions, guide the creation of SLOs and influence the management of error budgets
  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code
  • Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
  • Leverage NodeJS, Docker, AWS, Kafka, Cassandra, Opensearch, Postgres and other technologies to optimize software for ideal business outcomes
