Position Overview

Responsibilities

  • Drive Network Vulnerability Detection: Lead the development of detection capabilities that enable customers to identify and assess network infrastructure vulnerabilities through fingerprinting techniques and detection pipelines. Set the technical vision and roadmap for this area.
  • Research Emerging Threats: Monitor and analyze vulnerability disclosures from major vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco). Translate this research into actionable detection capabilities to protect customers from emerging risks.
  • Build and Lead a Global Team: Manage a distributed team of vulnerability detection engineers and technical leads. Foster a collaborative culture and coordinate across time zones to deliver high-quality detection content.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product management and engineering teams to align detection capabilities with customer needs. Directly influence the evolution of CrowdStrike's Exposure Management platform and organizational strategy.
  • Ensure Quality and Accuracy: Own the validation processes for vulnerability detections. Implement automated workflows to maintain CrowdStrike's high standards for security solutions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity or vulnerability management.
  • 5+ years of management experience with a proven ability to lead technical teams.
  • Hands-on technical leadership experience with vulnerability detection techniques and network security.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both executive and technical audiences.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to scale processes.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or similar.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with network device fingerprinting and assessment.
  • Background in vulnerability management product development.
  • Experience in designing and implementing security detection pipelines.
  • Experience leading remote/distributed multi-team environments.
  • Understanding of CVE analysis, CVSS scoring, and risk-based prioritization.
  • Experience with organizational scaling and process optimization.
  • Experience with GenAI/Agentic AI automation for vulnerability detection, threat analysis, or security workflow optimization.
  • Thought leadership experience in Exposure Management or Vulnerability Risk Management through publications, speaking engagements, or industry contributions.
