Requirements

Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and able to obtain a security clearance. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cybersecurity role, with a focus on threat intelligence gathering and analysis, is required. A Bachelor of Science degree in information security or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in Information Security best practices, policies, standards, and baselines from NIST, CIS, and OWASP is necessary. Relevant IT security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, or CEH are also required, along with strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills. Experience with OSINT and other intelligence gathering toolsets, as well as knowledge of operating systems, databases, web applications, and mobile devices, are preferred.

Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Threat Analyst will collaborate with other analysts to identify and understand threats to Maxar, investigate and analyze dark web and security-related events using cybersecurity toolsets, and identify and respond to cyber threats within Maxar environments. Responsibilities include writing and compiling threat research documents for stakeholders, communicating findings to technical and executive teams, and following up with teams to resolve issues and provide risk minimization recommendations. The analyst will also collaborate with cybersecurity and threat response teams, provide Tier 3 support when needed, and research emerging Indicators of Compromise, exploits, and vulnerabilities to enhance network protection. A proactive approach to improving team deliverables and research methodologies is expected, along with collecting and correlating threat intelligence from OSINT and third-party tools to create actionable intelligence.
