3–5 years of experience in Technical Management, Project Management, or Leadership

Responsibilities

Perform standard engineering assignments as a significant portion of larger projects
Select sound techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations under supervisor direction
Assess results for application, validity, and conformance to specifications
Recommend material and process specifications
Utilize engineering tools to solve straightforward problems (e.g., FMEA, Finite Element Analysis, Process Modeling, Design of Experiments, Mold Flow, SPC, software development)
Lead small project teams to accomplish project objectives
Monitor and report project costs, including capital and cross-functional expenses
Estimate costs affected by design and/or policy changes
Recommend capital expenditure and production methods for existing or enhanced products/processes with supervisor
Study and recommend techniques to improve existing products/processes
Investigate new sources for raw materials or processes
Formulate and recommend engineering policies and technical work with supervisor in accordance with project and business objectives
Coach and mentor direct reports to enhance their development (where applicable)
Create/update development plans for direct reports with supervisor in line with R&D objectives (where applicable)
As Tech-Lead: Drive and oversee technical aspects of projects from sustaining activity to new product development
As Tech-Lead: Lead planning, resource allocation, and execution of technical tasks
As Tech-Lead: Collaborate with team members, Product Design Owner (PDO), and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
