Requirements

Masters/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Instrumentation Engineering
In-depth knowledge of control systems and/or control systems in automotive assembly plants
Thorough knowledge of Rock (likely referring to Process Simulate/Emulate 3D)
Knowledge of Emulation/Virtual Commissioning process and related activities using Process Simulate/Emulate 3D software

Responsibilities

Execute Controls/Emulation related projects globally at GM, focusing on Safety, Delivery, Quality, Cost, and Performance
Perform Virtual Commissioning of systems using Emulation software (Emulate3D/Process Simulate)
Design cells and execute online on new and existing product programs
Supervise and control projects, including scope, issues, risks, and schedule
Handle issues to closure
Communicate project status to internal customers through meetings, reports, and reviews
Lead and develop components in Emulate 3D/Process Simulate library on G12, G16, G22 architecture (Electrical & Mechanical)
Develop electrical and mechanical models using Demo Emulate 3D/Process Simulate
Collaborate with stakeholders (TCI, TCK, GMNA, GMSA) to complete component development and project execution
Debug programs
Co-ordinate and lead all Emulation projects (Global & Regional) for Body Controls, Conveyor Controls, Press Controls, GPS, etc
Train other engineers on Process Simulate/Emulate 3D software as needed
Be flexible to shift and travel as per business needs (Emulation-related or non-Emulation-related)
Perform project execution in other areas if workload doesn't support full-time Emulation work
