Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, equivalent or above, in a related field, such as Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
3+ years of experience in material development, decoration processes, color development area, preferably in the CMF industry
Proficient level of both written and spoken English
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of materials science, post decoration processes like painting, printing, anodizing
ME experience is preferred
Experience with fabric, PU industry and related post processes like fabric wrapping, laser, lamination

Responsibilities

New product CMF engineering design: Make the link between ID/CMF design and manufacturing to achieve optimal user experiences and manufacturability
Translate the concept descriptions from Design and Marketing into feasible/achievable engineering activities
Partnering with manufacturing teams to ensure robust CMF manufacturing processes, design for mass production and continuous improvement
Define reliability testing requirements, protocol, and equipment
Work with x-functions to ensure that CMF specifications meet the product requirements
Stay up-to-date on the latest CMF trends and technologies
Independently resolve complex CMF issues, challenges, and accomplish CMF objectives independently within a project team
Acts as a source of technical expertise to others in the CMF technical area. Explain difficult concepts to a variety of audiences and ensure meaning is understood
