Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy development for the S&P Global Energy division, leveraging cross-functional teams of subject matter experts
  • Partner with Divisional Strategy leads, SPGI Enterprise Strategy, and corporate development leaders on strategic advisory projects focused on strategy development/execution, corporate development, and strategic partnerships (e.g., market entry, executive presentations, financial analysis)
  • Leverage scenario planning, case studies, and modeling to strengthen strategy
  • Drive execution of top divisional strategies, collaborating with Commercial and Product Management stakeholders to move initiatives from concepts to actionable business concepts
  • Drive execution of the division's longer-term AI strategy in collaboration with key internal stakeholders
  • Support acquisitions and partnerships to strengthen market position and expand footprint in priority geographic/commodity/energy markets
  • Develop and maintain financial analysis models for investment evaluation, business case development, project prioritization, and investment approval
  • Articulate the S&P Global Energy strategy in clear, compelling narratives to key stakeholders, tailoring messages by audience
  • Lead communication of S&P Global Energy strategy and updates to the board of directors and investor community
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies; conduct market research and leverage customer insights with Commercial and Strategy colleagues to identify opportunities
