Candidates must possess a J.D. degree and an active license to practice law in the United States. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a practicing attorney handling complex litigation and government investigations, including class actions, MDLs, and complex arbitrations, is required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. full-time. Preferred qualifications include over 10 years of experience, experience managing litigation in the pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industries, international litigation management experience, and demonstrated effectiveness in advising senior leadership, particularly with matters involving state and federal healthcare programs, fraud, and related issues.
The Sr. Director - Counsel will set and own strategy for, manage, and advise senior leadership and the business on litigation, investigations, and high-risk matters globally. They will provide counsel on complex pre-litigation disputes, collaborate with legal colleagues on business initiatives and risk assessments, and manage outside counsel effectively, including budget development and strategic alignment. The role also involves building relationships with internal stakeholders and external parties such as government agencies and industry counterparts, and staying current on litigation developments affecting the pharmaceutical industry.
