Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. A minimum of 7 years of advanced SQL experience in query authoring, tuning, and identifying useful abstractions is required, along with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Python, demonstrating proficiency in data wrangling and object-oriented programming. Expertise in designing, creating, managing, and utilizing large datasets is essential, as well as the ability to build efficient, flexible, extensible, and scalable ETL and reporting solutions. Experience in root cause analysis on internal and external data is also necessary.
The Senior Data Engineer will create optimal data pipeline architecture and develop and maintain end-to-end scalable data infrastructure and pipelines. They will identify, design, and implement process improvements, automate manual processes, and optimize data delivery. The role includes assisting internal stakeholders with data-related technical issues and supporting their data infrastructure needs. Additionally, the engineer will develop data tools for analytics and data scientists, collaborate with data and analytics experts to enhance functionality in data systems, and design and implement data models ensuring integrity and consistency. Responsibilities also include identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, implementing data governance best practices, staying informed about emerging technologies, creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for data engineering processes, and driving the team's data strategy and technical roadmap.
