Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or professional designation preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in investment consulting, product management, or portfolio advisory roles
Strong analytical skills with experience in portfolio construction, risk analysis, and investment performance evaluation
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into client-friendly insights
Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Seismic, and Microsoft Office Suite as well as Bloomberg, Morningstar and FactSet; familiarity with Red Oak and other compliance platforms is a plus
FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with sales, compliance, marketing, and investment teams
Proven track record of enhancing client engagement through strategic insights and tailored investment solutions
Experience preferred to support both internal wealth management and third-party broker/dealer channels
Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert on Northern Trust’s investment products, including passive, factor-based and active strategies, as well as alternative investments
Provide consultative support to wealth management, financial intermediary clients and internal partners by delivering customized portfolio analytics, scenario analyses, risk assessments and other client requests
Develop and present client-ready deliverables that illustrate portfolio health, alignment with investor goals, and implementation strategies
Support the development and dissemination of marketing and educational materials, including roadshow presentations, handouts, and client surveys
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, investment vehicles, and regulatory developments to inform client recommendations and internal training
Coordinate with compliance and marketing teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of materials distributed
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and documentation
Participate in firm-wide compliance and risk management initiatives such as the RCSA (Risk and Control Self-Assessment) process, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
