Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, and have at least five years of experience in wealth management advisory roles. Strong knowledge of financial products and services, including estate and financial planning, capital markets, banking products, and asset management is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary, along with knowledge of fiduciary relationships and prudent investment principles.
The Sr Client Advisor will manage an assigned account base of wealth management clients by working with clients and their professional advisors to understand their needs and goals, primarily leading client conversations incorporating Northern Trust’s Goals Driven Wealth Management and Holistic framework process. They will maintain knowledge of various NT resources and identify opportunities for relationship enhancement, collaborating with other advisors and professionals. The role involves exhibiting knowledge of Advisory Practice services, cultivating relationships with external advisors, understanding and complying with internal policies and procedures, growing the book of business, providing proactive advice to clients, and teaching/mentoring less experienced partners. Additionally, the advisor will provide leadership on projects and committees and travel to meet with clients as needed.
