Requirements

BS Degree or equivalent work experience
Considerable experience in accounting and financial practices within software development
Knowledge of GAAP standards as they relate to system design (plus)
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Understanding of the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
Solid working knowledge of standard features and functions of multiple applications/modules to field, analyze and resolve customer issues/problems
Strong written and oral communication skills to define business and technical parameters and lead team to meet business requirements
Ability to identify problems, research alternatives, prepare presentations, drive solutions, test to confirm, gain consensus, and implement solutions for multiple applications within multiple functions
Strong working knowledge of Data Analysis and/or relational databases
Strong working knowledge of financial system integrations and supporting technologies
Experience with Stripe payment platform, Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics Finance, or Business Central and/or other similar financial software (ideal)
Typically 4-7 years of directly related experience
CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification preferred

Responsibilities

Define business processes and system alignment
Translate business requirements into system definitions and solutions
Act as strategic partner and liaison between the user community (specifically finance and accounting) and the technical applications development staff (may include offshore staff)
Resolve system problems to ensure customer processes run smoothly
Document financial business processes, training procedures, standard operating procedures, project status, etc
Implement system alignment with business and financial processes
Provide standard and customized applications to resolve business needs/issues
Utilize financial acumen and experience with financial software, databases and reporting tools to develop effective solutions that meet regulatory and financial requirements
Identify business system requirements and related business/application solutions over a complete business process
Develop new customizations and integrations with design, documentation, testing and training
Execute various types of tests (unit, integration, functional, exploratory, etc.) to verify the functionality, performance, and usability of the product
Conduct business process evaluations to gain technical knowledge of business requirements
Write and maintain system documentation
Perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs
