Requirements
Candidates should have 6+ years of experience doing backend work at tech companies and strong familiarity (3+ years) with Python. Deep understanding of language, runtime, and best practices are required, along with experience maintaining large codebases with multiple contributors and the ability to make solid design decisions. Experience with SQL databases, and python ORMs in general, Postgres and SQLAlchemy, specifically, is preferred.
Responsibilities
The Sr. Backend Engineer will help build and scale the Parkade server and API, written in Python, which supports the mobile and web apps. They will work with the team to build a delightful product, respond to error logs and alerts to improve system reliability, look for opportunities to reduce complexity and build maintainable systems, and ensure the backend is built with high reliability and easily observable and debuggable. They will also join a company focused on sustained productivity and contribute to infrastructure development as needed.
