Requirements
24 months of experience in the Financial Services Industry / Asset Servicing (preferred)
For internal candidates: At least a valued partner in the previous ARC
Flexible to work in shifts and/or on a rotational basis
Comprehensive understanding of the Securities Lending Trade Lifecycle
Good working knowledge or experience in Asset Servicing; knowledge or prior experience in Securities lending, settlements, and collateral management (added advantage)
Overall understanding of risks associated with Lending domain and Asset Servicing practice
Eye for detail and ability to carry out Quality checks and report them
Operational knowledge on systems such as GSL, CREST, Euroclear, TLM (preferable)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Qualities of a team player
Ability to multitask and handle pressure situations
Understanding of the concept of Driving Performance
Ability to set priorities and manage multiple deadlines with minimum supervision, escalating issues where necessary

Responsibilities
Develops and maintains specific subject expertise and provides inputs as required
Liaises with internal teams to resolve issues and minimise exposure, including Securities Lending Trade desk
Maintains good working relationships with borrowers and collateral Tri-party agents
Acts as a process expert in International and Domestic markets where trade settlement and Collateral teams operate
Maintains risk management and control activities for the assigned group
Builds effective working relationships with off-shore partners and other relevant partner areas
Provides hands-on training for new staff and cross-training for experienced staff
Ensures response/resolution is completed within established deadlines/SLDs and appropriate priority levels are applied to key client deliverables
Provides input towards continuous improvement of procedures to maintain highest possible efficiency and risk mitigation
Assists clients, partners, and staff with complex problem resolution
Maintains technical knowledge of Securities Lending Operations and how the function relates to other operating areas
Maintains data for collation and provision of MIS
Participates/drives project(s) at Division or Practice level as assigned
Comply with the regulatory regime in which Northern Trust operates
