Requirements

Engineer with 5+ years’ experience in systems programming
Basic knowledge of z/OS, Unix System Services, SMP/E, REXX, Java, VSAM, and third-party products
Experience in CICS Transaction Server and related ISV products (e.g., Compuware Abend-AID, ASG TMON/CICS, Omegamon for CICS, BMC Mainview, Xpediter/CICS, CA ACF2/CICS, CA Intertest, CA Symdump)
Knowledge of CICS functionality and architecture
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience
Process-driven management of technical operations and support
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
Ability to follow a project through to completion or work as part of a larger team on complex projects
Participate in on-call rotation with engineering teams
Preferred: Banking or financial services industry experience
Preferred: Knowledge of Assembler, COBOL, CICS, and Db2

Responsibilities

As a subject matter expert, provide direct technical support in planning, coordination, installation, implementation, and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to CICS and related ISV products
Upgrade/install and migrate CICS Transaction Servers
Upgrade/install and support IBM and ISV-related products (e.g., Compuware Abend-AID, ASG TMON/CICS, Omegamon for CICS, BMC Mainview, Xpediter/CICS, CA ACF2/CICS, CA Intertest, CA Symdump)
Provide primary on-call support for CICS and associated ISV products
Diagnose CICS system and related product issues and perform root cause analysis
Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and tests as scheduled
