  • Profound understanding of z/OS, Unix Systems Services, and Iseries
  • In-depth SMP/E knowledge
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP for z/OS related network configuration practices
  • Ability to develop and adjust ISPF Panels
  • Profound understanding of ACF2 Security administration practices
  • Experience in Disaster Recovery planning and execution for both Mainframe and I-Series
  • Advanced Job Control Language (JCL) skills
  • Knowledge of transactional systems (CICS) internals
  • JES2 Administration experience
  • Ability to compose and maintain documentation for various Operating System environments
  • Perform installations, maintenance, and issue resolution for each of Broadcom AKA Computer Associates software offerings
  • Code and read Assembler or COBOL programs

Responsibilities

  • Apply maintenance using SMP/E
  • Code and troubleshoot issues with JCL
  • Define network connections for printers, Iseries, and mainframe devices
  • Respond to issues with mainframe committed printers
  • Define resources to the transactional system known as CICS
  • Assist users with problem determination for CICS-related issues
  • Define and maintain JES2 resources
  • Perform maintenance and coordinate the centralized faxing system, Rightfax
  • Prepare and participate in yearly Disaster Recovery procedures
  • Manipulate various software products, including those from CA and IBM, as well as OEM products
  • Gain full knowledge of all current systems, including mainframe, Iseries, and Rightfax
  • Take on the main role for all Computer Associate software products
