Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 5 to 6+ years of relevant experience. Required skills include expertise in LAN/WAN, IPAM, Load Balancers, and Packet Analyzers. Specific experience is needed with Checkpoint (R80, R77 Gaia, R75, R70, R65, Provider-1, VSX, SPLAT, Cluster XL, Smart Center Server) and Palo Alto (Pa-500, PA-3k, PA-5k, PA-7k, VSYS, Panorama). Proficiency in IPSEC, VPN, SSL, Tufin, Firemon, Algosec, Fortinet firewalls, Palo Alto Networks XML API, VMware, and F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM, VCMP) is essential. Knowledge of security threats, virus detection systems, core Internet protocols, switching and routing protocols (H3C Device, Alcatel Lucent DWDM), and IPAM InfloBox is also required. Certifications such as AIS, ASE, MASE, CCIE, PCNSE, or CCSA are preferred.
The role involves L3 network support, including troubleshooting and upgrading network technologies. Responsibilities include performing firewall rule audits and optimizations, upgrading Pan OS, migrating Cisco ASA to PA firewalls, designing and installing Palo Alto solutions, and configuring/troubleshooting VPNs on Cisco ASA and Check Point firewalls. The engineer will maintain Palo Alto Networks solution uptime, provide guidance on architecture changes, and integrate via XML API. Duties also encompass installing Security Gateways and VSX Gateways, managing email and web security, planning proactive maintenance, analyzing security threats, and troubleshooting F5 LTM and APM configurations. This includes allocating virtual IPs, licensing F5 modules, performing code upgrades/downgrades, configuring VCMP hosts and guests, managing high availability features, and utilizing CLI for configuration. The engineer will also implement iApps templates, configure VIPs with health checks, host SSL certificates, manage load balancers, and troubleshoot switching/routing problems. Additionally, the role involves managing onsite vendors, acting as an escalation point for network implementation issues, and analyzing application-related problems using advanced troubleshooting techniques.
