The Sr. Analyst, Business Analytics will be responsible for designing and testing enhancements for information technology and business analytics software products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop predictive data modeling/engineering, reports, and performance metrics.
  • Create business analytics solutions that effectively weigh tradeoffs within a big data environment and business operations.
  • Recommend data modeling and engineering techniques.
  • Research, manipulate, and prepare data to document program activities and report on results.
  • Ensure data quality and provide feedback for service delivery and design enhancement.
  • Design and implement robust analytic and reporting software solutions.
  • Conduct data exploration, model building, experiment design, and performance evaluation.
  • Plan, develop, and validate master or detail test plans and strategies.
  • Act as a business technical expert in the design of new applications or enhancements, including solution integration.
  • Influence enhancements to business processes and system infrastructure to improve data quality, availability, and access.
  • Analyze data for trends, provide in-depth interpretations, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Translate findings into actionable data and information, making recommendations.
  • Define, identify, develop, and implement information products to support strategic business and operational planning.
  • Influence changes/enhancements to business processes, policies, and system infrastructure to improve information quality, availability, and access.
  • Evaluate software and data to deliver better business solutions.
  • Leverage SQL for data analysis to solve business problems and guide data scientists and data engineers on advanced analyses.
  • Design experiments to test hypotheses and quantify the impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Summarize results and create presentations to inform business partners and leadership teams of periodic results, optimization opportunities, and/or remediation actions.
  • Telecommuting is available. Multiple positions are available.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Six (6) months of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Six (6) months of experience in each of the following:
    • JIRA and Confluence
    • Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles
    • Testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting
    • Analyzing large data sets from multiple data sources
    • Statistical analysis and predictive modeling
    • SQL programming languages
    • Visualization tools, including PowerBI or Tableau
    • MS Excel, including writing advanced Excel formulas and using:
      • Conditional formatting
      • VLOOKUPs/HLOOKUPS
      • Sorting and filtering
      • Array formulas
      • VBA macros
      • Pivot reporting
