Requirements

High School Degree or Equivalent
Valid Florida Driver's License
Must be able to complete the State of Florida Pool Service License within 3 months of hire date
Mechanical and electrical experience preferred
2+ years of experience in a Water and/or wastewater treatment facility operation and maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
Proficiency with computers, including an ability to work with SCADA, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other site specific systems
Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures
Willingness to be on call, work an irregular work schedule and overtime hours
Ability to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen
Ability to navigate uneven terrain, smell, see and hear, lift up to 40 lbs, and work in all weather conditions indoors or out
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Responsibilities

Monitor water treatment plant processes, splash pad operation, and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, making adjustments as necessary to control their operation
Monitor groundwater extraction wells with inspections and daily sampling as required
Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis and record results
Monitor and maintain the wastewater collection system
Troubleshooting and perform repairs of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties
Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintaining all necessary records
Perform general maintenance duties of plant and other assigned duties as directed by Chief Operator
Monitor and maintain the stormwater collection system
Assist in operation of assigned treatment, mechanical and electrical equipment and other similarly related facility components and equipment
