Candidates should have a minimum of 7-years electrical work experience within a commercial setting demonstrated by a work history in any of the following capacities: Work as a licensed commercial electrician, Work as a commercial building electrical inspector, or Work as an infrared thermal imaging technician for mechanical/electrical applications. Extensive technical knowledge of electrical infrastructure typical of commercial and industrial facilities is required, along with expert level knowledge of the National Electric Code (NFPA 70). The candidate should also demonstrate experience with infrared thermal imaging, and the ability to consult with policyholders on best practices for managing electrical risk. Preferred licenses, certifications and designations include: Master or Journeyman level electrical license, Level I (or greater) Thermographer Certificate, Tran-the-trainer certification for electrical safety (NFPA 70E) or the ability to obtain certification within 1-year, Certified Electrical Inspector Certificate (CEI).
This position will perform physical inspections at policyholders’ facilities, author reports, and issue risk improvement recommendations to positively impact loss experience. The candidate will also have ownership of Nationwide’s thermal imaging program, including promoting services, managing the program, training staff and partners, maintaining equipment inventory, and performing infrared thermal imaging surveys. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with customers and distribution partners to develop relationships, perform survey work, and recommend improvements to reduce risk within the agriculture and food industries.
