Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in developing, designing, and implementing planning concepts and projects for material planning
  • Manage the entire process from supplier to customer's handover location for parts and disposition of production materials and equipment with low safety stock, high procurement risk, and/or high value
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain early and develop cross-departmental countermeasures as part of bottleneck control, including checking parts inventory
  • Clarify and sustainably eliminate problems in the overseas process (e.g., coordination and monitoring of IT process accuracy and stability)
  • Establish ongoing, constructive, and cooperative communication with suppliers
  • Develop, edit, monitor, and optimize material flow, delivery programs, and production programs with suppliers
  • Steer and monitor material flow from suppliers to production line, analyze requirements, and identify bottlenecks
  • Develop and initiate emergency strategies for supply bottlenecks, planning and agreeing on emergency procedures with internal and external stakeholders for quick communication and decision-making in material shortages
  • Collaborate with Purchasing department to establish cross-departmental procedures ensuring parts arrive on time based on supplier capacity, production demand, and quality requirements under changing conditions like model changes or new launches
  • Plan and optimize internal and external processes for securing a strong supply chain in all production areas (digitalization and CO² reduction)
  • Support internal and external resources for planning, executing, and optimizing logistics responsibilities concerning production material flow
  • Establish and agree with stakeholders on processes for introducing parts technical modifications
  • Coordinate run-in and run-out parts (e.g., technical changes) to ensure supply chain and capacity while avoiding costs for obsolete material
  • Assume special tasks corresponding to the skills and duties of the job holder
