Requirements

  • BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mutual fund or alternative investment funds industry
  • Experience with financial statement preparation preferred
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting skills are preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Self-motivation and drive to handle multiple client deliverables without sacrificing excellence or quality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Draft annual, quarterly, and other financial statements as applicable for clients
  • Support internal and external review of financial statements
  • Prepare and provide necessary documentation to clients
  • Assist in filings with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) in accordance with regulatory deadlines
  • Manage communications with fund accounting teams and external auditors on financial reporting issues to proper resolutions
  • Provide administrative support by scheduling and facilitating kick-off meetings for each client deliverable prior to financial reporting period end
  • Contribute to the preparation of Board related materials for mutual funds
  • Support the completion of designated sections of the annual prospectus update for various clients in accordance with the regulatory calendar
  • Communicate with internal teams or client teams to resolve open issues and questions, reaching out to internal technology support and vendor support as necessary
  • Attend and participate in IMS and corporate professional development sessions to identify processes and solutions
