BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mutual fund or alternative investment funds industry
Experience with financial statement preparation preferred
Strong accounting and financial reporting skills are preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Self-motivation and drive to handle multiple client deliverables without sacrificing excellence or quality
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service skills

Responsibilities

Draft annual, quarterly, and other financial statements as applicable for clients
Support internal and external review of financial statements
Prepare and provide necessary documentation to clients
Assist in filings with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) in accordance with regulatory deadlines
Manage communications with fund accounting teams and external auditors on financial reporting issues to proper resolutions
Provide administrative support by scheduling and facilitating kick-off meetings for each client deliverable prior to financial reporting period end
Contribute to the preparation of Board related materials for mutual funds
Support the completion of designated sections of the annual prospectus update for various clients in accordance with the regulatory calendar
Communicate with internal teams or client teams to resolve open issues and questions, reaching out to internal technology support and vendor support as necessary
Attend and participate in IMS and corporate professional development sessions to identify processes and solutions
