Responsibilities

  • Develops product pricing structure, with Product Manager, using current cost estimates, competitive assessments on pricing and product features, margin and commission guidelines provided by management and market information
  • Supplies pricing, product and application information to the sales force and customer service concerning the product lines
  • Utilizes market information and performs necessary analysis to make recommendations to the Product Manager to adjust product offering based on products and programs found in the marketplace
  • Makes product improvement recommendations to meet changing operational, sales and market needs
  • Helps develop strategies to adjust and promote various product lines, to improve sales and profit
  • Negotiates and communicates pricing information to the sales division personnel and in-house management on special quotes
  • Makes recommendations regarding training needs and assists in training sales force and customer service representatives
  • Reviews pricing strategies to insure company profitability and competition in the marketplace. Performs periodic margin analysis
  • Tracks competitive pricing, performance and distribution practices; researches new competitors and competitive products
  • Prepares and updates database reflecting market activity
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Responsible for defining and developing new products, manages cross-organization efforts to ensure approval, then directs their introduction
  • Plans, develops and implements new products (data- and technology-based products like registration, ecommerce, search, directory, email, advertising products, or special features for existing programs)
