The Linux Foundation is seeking a Speaker & Content Program Lead to join their Event Content team. This role will focus on managing content and logistics for dozens of global B2B conferences and events, including in-person, hybrid, and virtual formats. The events serve audiences ranging from 50 to 20,000+ attendees. Reporting to an Event Manager, the successful candidate will take ownership of critical content and logistics tasks, collaborating with internal stakeholders, program committees, speakers, and sponsors to ensure exceptional event delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate program committees and stakeholders: Manage deliverables such as Call for Papers (CFP), session scheduling, presentation reviews, and onsite logistics.
  • Drive regular communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and committees to align on needs, goals, and specifications.
  • Create and manage conference CFPs: Utilize Sessionize to create and manage conference CFPs for 15+ events annually, including system setup, reviewer assignments, messaging, and website updates.
  • Coordinate communications: Coordinate communications with speakers, program committees, and reviewers, hosting calls and meetings as needed.
  • Oversee project plans: Lead project plans, schedules, and reporting for content programs, ensuring deadlines are met and submission statuses are updated.
  • Lead speaker communications: Manage speaker inboxes and address inquiries related to CFP submissions, scheduling, and logistics.
  • Prepare and maintain conference schedules: Create and maintain conference schedules in scheduling tools while managing speaker logistics (notifications, bios, headshots, co-speaker coordination, and schedule updates).
  • Proofread and edit event materials: Proofread and edit event materials, such as websites, signage, and speaker guides, ensuring content accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage keynote programs: Manage keynote programs onsite at up to 15 conferences annually, collaborating with speakers, emcees, and AV teams.
