Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
At least 5 years of logistics procurement experience
At least 1 year of people management experience
Proven track record of managing global logistics stakeholder base and annual bidding events
Deep knowledge and experience negotiating contracts and managing suppliers within the indirect logistics category
Strong negotiation skillset
Effectively collaborates with customers to gain agreement/support, ability to influence
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – internal and external scope
Ethical, trustworthy and dependable with focus on stakeholder needs and objectives
Ability to work well and maintain strong business relationships with other departments, outside suppliers and other business partners to deliver against business/organization goals
Responsibilities
Support the Director in total category plans and execution for over $40M in Global Logistics (Ocean, Drayage) expenditures
Manage annual bidding, contracting, and supplier management
Develop and execute strategies (using appropriate tools including industry analysis, supplier analysis, benchmarking, etc.) required to plan, source, negotiate and implement the procurement of international transportation, and other logistics related sub-categories
Work closely with key stakeholders to manage current contracts and identify a pipeline of future opportunities that will drive best in class logistics and supply chain
Support internal logistics stakeholders with ongoing supplier relationship management and risk mitigation techniques
Manage annual contract and award cycles to support the evolving needs of the business across international trade lanes
Maintain and report accurate supplier data for internal use (scorecards, reporting, analytics, P2P process, etc.)
Manage day-to-day tactical logistics execution (exception management) and freight pay & audit of ocean and drayage billing
