Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferred in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Logistics); MBA a plus
  • Minimum 5 years in Sourcing required (Personal Care, Pharmaceutical industry or Consumer Packaged Goods industry preferred)
  • Experience managing RFI/RFP workflow through to Supplier Business award and Contract Negotiation required
  • Knowledge and understanding of cost drivers and ability to apply within negotiations, development of strategies and cost improvement opportunities
  • Ability to travel approximately 10-20% with overnight stays

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and execution of sourcing strategy from RFI/RFP creation, leading supplier negotiations, global stakeholder management to business award and Master Agreement implementation
  • Serve as department lead on COST and SERVICE improvement initiatives working closely with each sourcing and purchasing associate, as well as cross-functional teams
  • Successfully lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives with key strategic suppliers in support of Business Transformation goals (cost savings, lead-time and minimum order quantity reduction, increased inventory turns, and improved processes)
  • Lead, manage, and influence projects to successful completion (e.g., Supplier transitions, Cost reduction initiatives)
  • Identify and execute risk mitigation and security of supply strategies that will prevent disruption of critical supply
