Candidates must have over 2 years of experience in technical writing, developer documentation, or instructional content creation. Proficiency in TypeScript and Rust is required, along with the ability to write Solana programs using Anchor or natively. A strong understanding of Web3 fundamentals and blockchain technologies, particularly Solana concepts like the account model, instructions and transactions, instruction handlers, PDAs, CPIs, and token extensions, is essential. Exceptional writing skills focused on clarity, accuracy, and simplicity, along with proven ability to distill complex technical concepts into accessible content and strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork are necessary. A self-starter mentality, builder and engineer mindset, and experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment are also required. A Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
The Solana Technical Writer will write comprehensive instructional guides on Web3 fundamentals and Solana-specific technologies, and build sample applications to demonstrate real-world implementation patterns. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining API documentation, collaborating with engineers, product teams, and ecosystem experts to gather insights and validate technical accuracy, and maintaining and updating existing guides to reflect Solana's rapid ecosystem evolution and feature releases. The role also involves providing constructive feedback on team members' work to ensure coherence and high standards, and developing and implementing internal style guides and writing standards for consistency across technical content.
