Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, data science or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of SQA experience in cloud software testing
  • Domain Knowledge in molecular biology and hands on experience in bioinformatics tools (plus)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Continuous Testing, and related tools such as Git, Jenkins
  • Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or others
  • Experience writing verification plans, test cases, defects reports, executing & managing test cases using test cases management system and writing verification reports
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify potential issues and provide solutions

Responsibilities

  • Work with software engineers and bioinformatics scientists to understand analysis algorithms and architect & develop automated test solution(s)
  • Create detailed test cases that cover various scenarios to validate software functionality, performance, and security
  • Automate test cases for RESTful APIs and conduct end-to-end testing of web application
  • Identify, report, and track defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution
  • Prepare necessary test artifacts required for formal software / product release
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on software quality
  • Contribute to the overall quality assurance process by participating in reviews, inspections, and audits
