Software Engineer - Identity Sensor Resiliency

Position Overview

CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Identity Protection Group's Identity Sensor Resiliency Team. This role focuses on developing real-time monitoring systems for health, telemetry, and changing conditions to proactively anticipate and gracefully handle system degradation and failures. The Identity Protection Group leverages advanced AI, behavioral analytics, and a flexible policy engine to provide unified control of every identity, detect identity-based threats, and enforce risk-based conditional access. Our solutions deliver detection and prevention of identity-related incidents within customer networks using the Falcon Sensor and Cloud.

We operate at a massive scale, processing nearly 3 trillion events per day with our AI-native platform, and this traffic is continuously growing. What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, test, optimize, build, and maintain software systems as part of a distributed team.
  • Develop elegant, robust, and reliable solutions for complex technical challenges.
  • Apply engineering best practices, including secure coding, testing paradigms, effective peer code reviews, logging, and resilient architecture patterns, to ensure high-quality code.
  • Collaborate with external and internal customers to troubleshoot product issues and support customer support efforts.
  • Act as an energetic 'self-starter' empowered to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables, both individually and when leading a team.
  • Deliver and accept feedback constructively and courteously.
  • Collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams across various locations.

What You'll Need

  • In-depth knowledge of C or C++ Windows Development.
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS internals and concepts.
  • In-depth knowledge of concurrency, multi-core processing, threading, and synchronization.
  • Experience with networking protocols and technologies.
  • Experience debugging memory corruptions, process contentions, and system performance issues.
  • Familiarity with Python Programming.
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively within a distributed team.
  • Experience working with teams to ship major features and releases.

Bonus Points

  • Low-level knowledge of Windows OS internals, components, APIs, and design.
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity OR in Host / Device Management.
  • Comfortable working with external customers.
