Machine Learning Research Engineer II

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or AI development. Strong experience with scalable software architectures, cloud-native development, and distributed systems is highly desirable, as is familiarity with AI solutions and techniques.
As a Software Engineer II, you will participate in initiatives related to efficient data extraction, alignment, normalization, and ingestion into Dataminr’s entity knowledge graph, and you will develop and apply AI solutions to ensure the recency and quality of information stored within the knowledge graph. You will also design and develop pipelines and services for this purpose, working collaboratively with other engineers, data scientists, and AI researchers to create and implement new capabilities for automated alerting at scale.
Real-time AI for risk detection and alerts
Dataminr leverages artificial intelligence to detect early signs of significant events and emerging risks from publicly available data in real-time. Its platform provides insights to businesses, public sector organizations, and newsrooms, helping them respond proactively to potential threats and uncover stories before they become mainstream. The technology utilizes deep learning and multi-modal AI fusion to enhance event detection accuracy by analyzing various data types together. Dataminr operates on a business-to-business model and aims to empower organizations to effectively manage risks and respond to high-impact events.
