Candidates are required to possess a Bachelor's degree in a computer science-related discipline or equivalent experience, along with 5+ years of professional software development experience. Proficiency in Java, C++, or C# is required, as well as proficiency in Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS, along with understanding of data structures, database concepts, and algorithms. Strong proficiency in observability concepts and GraphQL APIs are also required. Experience with event-driven architecture is highly desirable.
As a Software Engineer III, you will independently design and develop high-quality, scalable, secure, and maintainable features, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications. You will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, and drive continuous improvement of development processes. Additionally, you will conduct thorough code reviews, mentor junior engineers, stay current with emerging technologies, and contribute to OpenGov’s engineering culture of innovation.
