Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 3 to 6 years total experience
  • Hands-on experience building services using Java, J2EE, Python, Springboot, Microservices
  • Good to have: React JS, Javascript, libraries, components, and frameworks
  • Experience building Restful services
  • Experience on unit testing frameworks (Junit, Spock, Jest, Mocha etc) and code quality control platforms like Sonar
  • Ability to measure and resolve performance bottlenecks, using tools like Jmeter or any equivalent, Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse, WebPagetest, or custom tooling
  • Strong computer science fundamentals: Data Structures, Algorithms
  • Strong knowledge on SQL, No-SQL
  • CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Jenkins
  • Exposure to Cloud (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Awareness of Agile (Scrum) methodologies
  • Knowledgeable and hands-on experience in AI tools such as Copilot, Winsurf, Cursor
  • Knowledgeable in Agentic AI frameworks and tools such as MCP, RAG, A2A protocol
  • Experience designing modern highly responsive Applications
  • Deep interest and passion for technology, strong problem solving, analytic, decision-making skills

Responsibilities

  • Drive design, development, implementation, documentation and follow agile development process
  • Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide
  • Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community
  • Be involved in the successful implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives
  • Follow TDD to ensure testing and code coverage
  • Learn new and changing technologies and adapt to ensure best software practices and standards
  • Participate in hiring and support to build teams
  • Help and participate with the teams that leverage and contribute to open-source technologies to make impact on a global scale
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to a small team of highly talented and motivated engineers
