Requirements
- Strong experience in Mainframe technologies and enterprise-level engineering
- Proficiency in system architecture and design, especially in cloud environments (Azure, GCP)
- Deep understanding of Omni Fulfillment and how fulfillment systems operate
- Familiarity with Front-End, Mobile, and legacy technologies
- Experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously
- Knowledge of scalable, distributed systems and fault-tolerant design
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, Cassandra, Solr, Elastic Search, SQL
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Bash, Spark, and tools like Maven, Git, Jenkins
- Strong DevOps skills for troubleshooting, performance tuning, and Linux-based application support
- Passion for mentoring and empowering others while continuously learning and adapting
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide small teams of engineers, including offshore associates, by providing documentation, direction, and technical mentorship
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with a focus on ROI and long-term sustainability
- Write, test, and deploy high-quality code across various platforms and technologies
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
- Collaborate with product, project management, UX, and business teams during the discovery and design phases
- Support business operations by addressing user concerns, researching solutions, and advising on system enhancements
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to ensure operational support and system reliability
- Apply up-to-date software engineering practices to improve development processes and outcomes
- Build relationships with stakeholders to support the implementation of business solutions
- Ensure compliance with Walmart’s policies, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
