Responsibilities

Build and support reliable large-scale Kubernetes infrastructure on Google Cloud
Own business-critical services (search retrieval and ranking) and ML models infrastructure
Drive adoption of containers and Kubernetes
Improve system reliability and automate operations
Provide a self-service runtime platform for product and ML engineering teams
Contribute to design and implementation of observability and CI/CD on Kubernetes
Maintain and upgrade GKE addons (CertManager, Gatekeeper), ingress controllers (Contour, Envoy), telemetry components (kube-prometheus, AlertManager, Karma), and container security
Support CI/CD platform (Buildkite) for hundreds of engineers deploying to GKE
Standardize cluster and application security with admission policies and vulnerability scanning
Establish standard SLI/SLO for Kubernetes services
Support Search, ML, and Gen AI teams with GPU utilization across zones/regions
Evaluate build vs. buy decisions in LLM space
Enable service mesh across GKE
