Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Systems, or similar field or relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years of hands-on industry software development experience
  • Demonstrated experience in node.js, python or similar languages
  • Some experience with cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD and related tools
  • Some experience with AWS platform including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, S3
  • Modern testing methodologies and frameworks (Mocha, Jasmine, Jest)
  • Strong understanding of architectural design patterns and computer-science fundamentals
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, SASS, Javascript
  • HTML + HTML5, including Flexbox, semantic markup, accessibility and concepts such as OOCSS, BEM and ATOMIC
  • Experience with browser APIs, including a working knowledge of event lifecycles and performance optimization
  • CSS + CSS2, including cross-browser compliance
  • Experience with implementing and integrating AI, Machine Learning and related data solutions (preferred)
  • Some experience with technologies such as vue.js, vuetify.js, vuext, React (experience with other frameworks such as Angular is a plus), Redux, Template Technologies, Micro Services, REST Web Services

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Global Technology organization on Nike’s internal product creation tools, reporting to Engineering Leadership
  • Collaborate day-to-day with a team of engineers, Product Manager, and Principal Engineers on software projects to achieve Nike’s business objectives
  • Engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals
  • Solve complex software engineering problems to support delivering state-of-the-art tools to Nike’s Consumer Product & Innovation community
  • Build tooling for internal Consumer Product & Innovation team members, focusing on modular, configurable, and “API-First” capabilities consumed by modern web applications built with recent SPA frameworks
