Experience with Javascript/Typescript is required, along with the ability to translate business scenarios into well-tested, extensible code. Candidates must be comfortable navigating large codebases, debugging, providing code reviews, and demonstrating ownership of their growth. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with a global engineering team. This role requires participation in an on-call rotation and the ability to be based in Spain.
The Software Engineer II will be responsible for maintaining UIs and APIs that power Affirm's checkout experiences and supporting feature development across multiple partner teams in the US and Europe. They will break down projects into tasks, deliver them in phases, and collaborate with product management, design, and analytics teams. Responsibilities include supporting the operations and availability of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating issues, and participating in on-call efforts. Additionally, engineers will contribute to team community through growth and development activities, including participation in the interview process.
