Requirements

Candidates should have over 3 years of software engineering experience with a focus on developer experience, infrastructure, or CI/CD. Proficiency is required in CI/CD systems like BuildKite or GitHub Actions, major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, or Bash. A collaborative, customer-obsessed mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills is also necessary. Bonus points for experience with internal developer platforms, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi), and observability platforms (Chronosphere, Prometheus, Grafana).

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer II, DevEx Engineer will evolve CI/CD platforms for faster feedback loops, build and own internal tooling, build systems, and local development environments. They will integrate cutting-edge tools and practices, including AI assistants, to enhance developer productivity. The role involves autonomously leading multi-month projects to improve engineering productivity and technical quality, collaborating with product engineering teams to understand pain points and deliver solutions, and championing best practices for development, testing, and deployment. Contributing to the team's roadmap and strategy by identifying high-impact improvement opportunities is also a key responsibility.
