Candidates should have 2 years of DevOps industry experience, including experience developing Docker containers, working with cloud technologies like AWS, and experience with software delivery pipelines. Strong coding skills in data structures, algorithms, OOP, multithreading, design patterns, and scalable system design are essential, along with excellent communication skills and a willingness to work on a distributed team. Bonus points for experience with Python or GO, open-source contributions, Kubernetes (EKS preferred), Site Reliability Engineering, defining SLOs/SLAs, monitoring tools, IaC (Terraform, CDK), and Hashicorp products.
The Software Engineer II will be responsible for implementing the infrastructure and tooling that powers the software delivery pipeline, aiming to increase the speed, quality, and efficiency of the engineering organization. This role includes participation in an on-call rotation to support software delivery pipelines and systems. Responsibilities also involve proposing and building new application architecture and building tooling to improve developer experience while keeping core systems updated.
