DroneDeploy is a leading platform for automated reality capture, used by thousands of companies in construction, oil and gas, and renewable energy. We leverage drones, robots, and 360 cameras to capture data, which is then analyzed using AI. DroneDeploy is recognized as a Best Place to Work and a top startup, fostering a remote-first culture driven by innovation and employee growth. We offer flexible schedules, family-friendly benefits, and opportunities for professional development.

This role is for a high-performing engineer with prior experience in Sales/Marketing (Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, or a B2B SaaS Sales/Marketing role). The ideal candidate has transitioned into engineering and wants to apply their skills to build scalable tools using AI and automation to enhance a modern Go-To-Market (GTM) environment. You should be able to write clean code, collaborate effectively, and deliver production-level tools. This role involves talking to end-users, lightweight design, full-stack development, and driving impact through deployed code. You will report to a co-founder and collaborate with GTM leadership on impactful projects to improve sales efficiency.

Work Environment

  • Work Hours: Available Monday - Friday, 9 am - 3 pm Pacific Time for team meetings and collaboration.
  • Work Model: 100% remote is acceptable. A hybrid model in the SF Bay Area (2-3 days in-person) is also an option for local candidates.
  • Work Travel: No travel requirements, though attendance at some company gatherings is appreciated.

Responsibilities

  • Build internal and customer/prospect-facing tools to accelerate the GTM motion using AI.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across GTM teams (Sales, Marketing, CS, Support, RevOps) to understand needs and rapidly prototype solutions.
  • Work with Marketing Ops, Sales Ops, and Enablement to deploy, measure impact, and refine approaches based on defined metrics.
  • Quickly iterate on tools based on end-user feedback and usage data.
  • Apply software development best practices, design patterns, and testing frameworks.
  • Create reusable code libraries/MCP servers for broader tool consumption, building a library of internal AI enrichment tooling.
  • Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to access and leverage customer usage/engagement data in tooling.
  • Create documentation and run-books for productionized solutions to facilitate debugging.

Common Tech Stack

  • Backend: Python (FastAPI/Flask, SQLAlchemy, Pandas, Pydantic)
  • Frontend: JS (React Typescript, Tailwind, or general JS/CSS)
  • APIs: OpenAI, Anthropic, VertexAI, Perplexity, MCP, Salesforce, Clay, Outreach, Slack, Twillio, etc.

Requirements

  • Former GTM Professional with 2+ years in Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, RevOps, or Sales.
