Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or software development. Proficiency in PySpark, SQL, and Databricks Notebooks is required, alongside experience with cloud platforms such as Azure Data Lake Storage, AWS S3, or Google Cloud Storage. A strong understanding of data lake architecture, data warehousing concepts, and big data frameworks is also necessary. Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, or similar is required, as is familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer will design and implement scalable and secure data pipelines using Python, Apache Spark, and Databricks on Azure, developing and maintaining ETL/ELT workflows to ingest data into the data lake, collaborating with data scientists and analysts, optimizing Spark jobs for performance, managing data lake infrastructure, implementing data governance practices, creating technical documentation, and participating in code reviews and agile development processes.
