Requirements

Candidates should possess 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Analyst, or equivalent role, proficiency in writing efficient and complex SQL queries, solid experience with data modeling concepts and methodologies, familiarity with dbt, competence in at least one BI visualization tool (Omni, Tableau, Looker, etc.), a strong understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard design, and familiarity with cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Previous exposure to healthcare data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is preferred, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical findings clearly to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

The BI Engineer will develop and optimize SQL queries and data pipelines to support efficient reporting and analytics using tools such as Snowflake, dbt, AWS, Fivetran, and Omni, collaborating with business stakeholders and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, insightful data solutions. They will conduct deep dives to identify actionable insights that support business decision-making, assist in the execution and basic analysis of A/B testing, contributing to experimental design and interpretation, ensure adherence to healthcare data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), clearly document analysis, methodologies, and results for technical and non-technical stakeholders, mentor junior analysts by reviewing their work, providing feedback, and fostering technical growth.
