Requirements

  • Strong skills in building software at a product company and solid language design skills
  • Good knowledge of downstream query targets (Postgres, ClickHouse, DuckDB, Athena, etc.)
  • Experience building compilers and/or interpreters
  • Experience writing complex ANTLR grammar
  • Programming and SQL skills (Python and C++ are a must, SQL is a must)
  • Experience with Rust is welcome
  • Proactive and able to work with autonomy

Responsibilities

  • Building and expanding language capabilities (e.g., adding support for objects into the Hog language, adding the create table statement to the data warehouse, improving the select SparkLine query tag)
  • Keeping up with the latest developments of downstream query targets
  • Documenting languages thoroughly
  • Making decisions on what to work on due to high autonomy
