Requirements

Candidates should have a BS or MS in Computer Science and solid computer science fundamentals. A minimum of 2 years of backend development experience is required, along with experience in a statically typed language such as Go, C++, or Java. A solid understanding of Kubernetes and AWS or GCP is preferred, or a willingness to learn. Great written and spoken communication skills about technical topics are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer, Data Intake will build the Observe agent and data pipeline to collect and transfer high-volume observability data from hosts, Kubernetes, and cloud services to the Observe backend. They will also build the control plane for managing fleets of agents at scale and solve complex scalability and performance challenges in both the data and control plane.
