Requirements

Candidates must have at least 3 years of relevant software engineering experience. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Rust, Java, TypeScript, or similar is required. A strong engineering background is preferred, ideally in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Candidates should possess an innate desire to operate with extreme levels of urgency and have advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Software Engineers at Heliux will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of the core software platform. They will become product experts in hardware engineering and manufacturing operations through hands-on engagement with customers. The role includes rapidly developing high-quality software that exceeds customer expectations, contributing to both front-end and primarily back-end code. Engineers will partner with key team members across Design, Engineering, and Business Development to advise on critical product and infrastructure decisions, while also solving problems typical of a scrappy, early-stage startup.

Helium

Decentralized peer-to-peer wireless network for IoT

About Helium

Helium creates a decentralized wireless network specifically for Internet of Things (IoT) devices, such as smart collars and sensors. Their network operates on a peer-to-peer model, allowing devices to communicate without relying on traditional cellular plans. Users can purchase and set up IoT hotspots that contribute to the network's coverage, and in return, they earn Helium's cryptocurrency, HNT. This approach not only reduces costs for businesses and developers needing reliable connectivity for their IoT devices but also incentivizes users to expand the network. Helium stands out from competitors by offering a community-driven solution that combines hardware and blockchain technology, aiming to make IoT connectivity more accessible and efficient.
