Requirements

  • Three to seven years of experience in cloud-based Java microservices development
  • Three to seven years of experience in financial services
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Experience with building and consuming from REST and/or GraphQL APIs
  • Experience with messaging systems (Kafka preferred)
  • Experience leading strategic technical initiatives from start to finish
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy and support existing applications as well as new features and platforms
  • Run projects and lead initiatives
  • Participate in an Agile framework, continuously improving and expanding platform capabilities based on evolving business requirements
  • Provide Level 3 support across the globe
  • Maintain and enhance the integration between shadow accounting system (Advent Geneva), end of day pricing services, and data warehouse
  • Contribute to a highly supportable, future-ready, performant code base
  • Build microservices that deploy to the cloud (AWS) using containers orchestrated by Kubernetes and extend REST and GraphQL-based APIs
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and other engineers to solve technical and business challenges
