Software Development Engineer

Position Overview

  • Location Type: Hybrid

  • Salary: Mid: $100k - $135k, Senior: $130k - $165k

Auria is seeking a talented software development engineer to develop web, mobile, and desktop applications for aerospace mission planning and scheduling. The developer will provide support for ongoing software development contracts, enhance existing software tools, and develop new software products. We are looking for a developer with an interest in DevSecOps and would function as Scrum Master for DevSecOps team.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience with object-oriented development
  • 2+ years experience with C# .NET in Visual Studio
  • 2+ years experience with software development including JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, web services, and databases
  • Strong experience in full software development life cycle
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Effective communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop web, mobile, and desktop applications for aerospace mission planning and scheduling.
  • Provide support for ongoing software development contracts.
  • Enhance existing software tools.
  • Develop new software products.
  • Work in small development teams on all aspects of the development life cycle (requirements, design, coding, unit testing, and deployment).
  • Interact internally with Software Engineers and Systems Engineers.
  • Interact directly with customers.
  • Function as Scrum Master for DevSecOps team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of DSO and security principles
  • Experience in continuous delivery and deployment tools and best practices
  • Experience in version control and branching strategies
  • Experience in configuration management
  • Version control systems such as Git
  • 2+ years experience in aerospace software development
  • Experience with Docker or other containerization tools
  • SQL, Relational Database Design, MongoDB
  • 2+ years experience with React
  • Linux Satellite Tool Kit / Systems Tool Kit (STK)
  • Cesium
