Position Overview

Imprint is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. We are revolutionizing co-branded credit cards and financial products, making them smarter, more rewarding, and truly brand-first. By partnering with leading companies, we launch modern credit programs that enhance loyalty, offer savings, and drive growth. Our platform leverages advanced payments infrastructure, intelligent underwriting, and seamless user experiences to empower brands to offer powerful financial products without becoming a bank.

The co-branded card market in the U.S. represents over $300 billion in annual spend, yet it is largely dominated by legacy banking systems. Imprint offers a modern, flexible, and tech-forward alternative built for today's consumers. Supported by prominent investors like Kleiner Perkins, Thrive Capital, and Khosla Ventures, we are assembling a world-class team to redefine payment experiences and brand growth. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex challenges, and want to make a significant impact, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop world-class experiences for both customers and partners in collaboration with engineers, product managers, and designers.
  • Write scalable and testable code, implementing comprehensive end-to-end testing.
  • Collaborate on architectural planning for new features, services, APIs, and external provider integrations.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance cardholder experiences, increase revenue, reduce engineering costs, and drive business growth.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across multiple micro-services, effectively managing on-call assignments.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Go (primary backend language), Java, Python, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of software development fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
  • Proven experience with APIs and database systems like MySQL and DynamoDB.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in software development with demonstrated growth and impact.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing secure coding standards.
  • Experience with micro-services architecture and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and equity packages.
  • Leading configured work computers of your choice.
  • Flexible paid time off.
  • Fully covered, high-quality healthcare, including fully covered dependent coverage.
  • Additional health coverage includes access to One Medical and the option to enroll in an FSA.
  • 16 weeks of paid parental leave for the primary caregiver and 8 weeks for all new parents.
  • An understanding that successful hybrid work requires flexibility and an appreciation for asynchronous work.
  • Access to industry-leading technology across all business units, reflecting our philosophy of investing in resources that foster innovation, optimization, and productivity.
