Requirements

Candidates should have at least 3 years of industry experience with Java and familiarity with the US financial tech space, including ACH and Card money movement. Experience with bank aggregators like Plaid is a plus, along with REST-based services and API development. Proficiency in SQL, particularly Postgres, and experience in designing and migrating schemas are essential. Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform is also beneficial. Candidates should be self-starters, able to work independently, and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer will reinvent APIs supporting user flows to enhance user experience and support engineers in utilizing banking and payment rails. They will optimize queries and relational database schemas for improved response times, implement algorithms for monetary transaction evaluation and risk management, and convert existing services to ensure high availability. Additionally, they will integrate with new third-party APIs and build improvements to decrease customer service workload.
