Requirements

Candidates should possess demonstrated success in people leadership within software development, particularly with large-scale SaaS products, and a strong background in hands-on software development. A diverse base of knowledge is required to assist the team in solving complex technical problems, along with the ability to describe successful projects and lessons learned from failures. Demonstrated ability to hire and develop engineers in a fast-paced market is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Software Development Manager will understand customer challenges, craft roadmaps for the team, work with the team on designing technical solutions, provide feedback on code reviews and architecture documents, actively contribute to projects through coding or code reviews, conduct 1:1 meetings with direct reports to support their growth, participate in hiring, and review code contributed by team members and other Clio developers.
